HISTORY OF CLARK ADAMS, INC.

Clark Adams, Inc. was founded in 1977 by R. Clark Adams. Clark held an Engineering Degree from Georgia Tech and had been involved in Engineering Sales since graduation. He was employed by Elliott Company and later worked for many years as a Sales Engineer and part owner of Evans L. Shuff and Associates. In 1977 he decided to branch out on his own. Jeff worked for Clark (his Dad) while pursuing his Engineering degree at night at Southern Tech in Marietta, Ga. He received his degree in 1988 and by 1993 moved around with his family as a Chemical Sales Engineer for some of the top water treatment companies in the nation. Clark approached Jeff about semi-retiring and asked if he would like to keep the business in the family. In 2008, Jeff and his wife Diane became owners of Clark Adams, Inc. At that time they moved to Blue Ridge, GA. 2019 marks year number 42 for Clark Adams, Inc.

Clark Adams, Inc. has been serving medium to heavy Industry from its inception; focusing on Power Generation Plants and Power related concerns. We also call on Engineering Firms that specialize in Steam and Nuclear Plant construction and rehabs. Over the last 42 years Clark Adams Inc. has expanded its scope into other areas from Wastewater Treatment Plant equipment to Energy optimization. Today, we continue to explore new areas of application for our Products.

Sadly we have to announce the passing of our founder R. Clark Adams on October 22,2018, but his name and reputation lives on in our hearts and in our day to day experience with past, present and future customers.

JEFF C. ADAMS; President, CEO

Jeff was born in Atlanta, Georgia. He attended Young Harris College for two years.

He began working for Crane Company as their Assistant Regional Manager at the age of 19 years old. When they moved out of state, he began working for his dad at Clark Adams, Inc. as a Sales Representative while attending night school at Southern Technical College, Marietta, GA. He received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial Engineering.

After 7 years of being with Clark Adams Inc. he received a job offer with Betz Industrial which caused him to re-locate. He started his career at that time in water treatment and held the position of Engineering Manager. He was then offered a position closer to home with Calgon Corporation to maintain water treatment at International Paper in Georgetown, SC. He later worked in Charlotte NC for Chemtreat Corporation still in water treatment as a District Engineering Manager.

He moved back to the Georgia area in 2008 when he and his wife took over Clark Adams, Inc. (the family business) and is now President and CEO.

DIANE M. ADAMS; Vice President, Administration

Diane was born in New Brunswick, NJ. She attended one year of college at Somerset County College studying Secretarial Science. She left NJ in 1978 and has lived in the south ever since.

She has had 23 years experience in Payroll with many of those years in a supervisory capacity. She also has 7 years Customer Service experience. During that time she has received a certificate for Senior Customer Service Representative. She has taken refresher courses in the Accounting field and held positions in Bookkeeping, Accounting and Human Resources. She has also owned her own travel business for 6 years.

She became Vice President-Administration of Clark Adams, Inc. when her and her husband became owners of the company in 2008 and handles bookkeeping, office operations and inside sales.

TARA ADAMS; Creative Marketing Director

Tara is the third generation of Clark Adams Inc. She graduated from High School in Huntersville, NC with high honors. She received the Presidential Award upon graduation and she was a member of the Spanish National Honor Society. She received her Associates of Business from the University of Phoenix.

She started out in the work force in dealing with the public every day in a Customer Service and Receptionist capacity. Her next area of expertise began working as an Office Administrator as well as an Accounting Assistant for builders and contractors in an office setting. She helped organize, coordinate and maintain a smooth flow of day to day operations; which later landed her management position for a Medi-Spa in the North GA area handling every day duties of accounting, marketing, customer service and administration.

She has used her natural abilities and work experience to take on the role of Marketing Director for Clark Adams Inc.. She has helped streamline the business to keep up with day to day challenges and changes.
